The National Museum of Bhutan, in partnership with MICE Bhutan, has officially opened “Heritage & Hues,” a cultural initiative and fundraising event at the historic Ta Dzong watchtower in Paro.

The opening ceremony was led by Chief Guest Dr. Yoenten Dargye, Director of the National Library and Archives of Bhutan, alongside senior delegates from the Museums Division, cultural preservation advocates, and civic leaders.
Running from November 5 through November 7, 2026, the three-day festival directly supports the Building Fund for the Museums of Bhutan. Capital raised through sponsorships, ticket sales, and philanthropic contributions will finance the long-term conservation, modern archival housing, and infrastructural stabilization required to protect the Kingdom’s invaluable national treasures and historic monuments.
Concurrently, “Heritage & Hues” functions as an active incubator for Bhutan’s creative economy, connecting local painters, master craftspeople, and agro-entrepreneurs directly with domestic and international audiences. Visitors can view live sand mandala rituals, explore traditional craft markets, sample regional culinary specialties, and experience guided horse walks across the museum's historic grounds.
Dates: November 5 – 7, 2026
Hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM daily
Location: National Museum of Bhutan (Ta Dzong), Paro
