The National Museum of Bhutan, Paro, recently hosted 35 De-suups from the De-suung Skilling Program alongside 25 trainees from the Zomlha Training Institute. The visit served as a meaningful opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of Bhutan’s rich history, culture, and heritage through the museum’s extensive collection of artifacts and exhibits.
By engaging with Bhutan’s cultural legacy firsthand, the trainees were able to connect their contemporary skills training with practical knowledge that would be useful after the complete their training.

Both DSP and ZTI’s core mission is to train young men and women to become effective, ethical, and competent professionals across diverse fields.
The De-Suung Skilling Programme is a national initiative that provides short-term, high-impact training to unemployed Bhutanese youth. All participants have undergone the De-Suung Training Programme, a values-based personal development initiative that encourages volunteerism, ethics, community service, and civic responsibility. Through this programme, youth engage in disaster response, charitable activities, and social services, making them ideal candidates for upskilling and workforce development.
Zomlha Training Institute (ZTI) offers a Cultural Tourist Guide NCII program, accredited by the Ministry of Labor and Human Resources, Royal Government of Bhutan, under the Guidelines for Accreditation of Courses 2011. The institute is dedicated to providing vocational training in an authentic Bhutanese learning environment, preparing trainees for meaningful employment and lifelong contribution to society.
Beyond technical skills, ZTI fosters intellectual curiosity, moral integrity, and personal growth. It supports the holistic development of each trainee—nurturing maturity, responsibility, and a strong sense of civic and social responsibility. The institute empowers its students to serve humanity and the nation with dedication and purpose, contributing to the progress and wellbeing of Bhutan.
