Museum educational visits for youths

Through direct engagement with the National Museum of Bhutan's vast collection of artifacts, traditional crafts, and historical treasures, youths can gain invaluable insights into Bhutan’s rich heritage.

These educational visits are part of a meaningful initiative by the Department of Culture & Dzongkha Development, designed to create enriching learning journeys that awaken curiosity, deepen understanding, and ignite a passion for tradition among Bhutanese youth.

By learning about Bhutan's artistic and historical treasures firsthand, students can connect with the shared cultural memories that shape our identity as a nation. These moments of discovery cultivate a deep sense of pride and belonging, ensuring that the stories, values, and wisdom of our ancestors continue to live on through the hearts and hands of the next generation.

We are proud to champion these meaningful experiences, which inspire the next generation of artists and cultural custodians. By opening our doors to young learners, the museum ensures that Bhutan’s unique identity continues to flourish—rooted in knowledge, carried forward with pride.

Over the past year, youths that have visited the National Museum include:

  • Students from Choki Traditional Art School, Kabesa, Thimphu
  • Trainees from Zomlha Training Institute studying to be Cultural Tourist Guides
