Arts in Harmony with Nature is a special exhibition showcasing the remarkable journey of Penjor Dorji, a Bhutanese artist and organic farmer whose work is deeply rooted in tradition, spirituality, and ecological harmony. For Penjor Dorji, every color tells a story, and every piece is an offering to nature.
Taking place at the National Museum of Bhutan in Paro for 3 months, each artwork is crafted using natural pigments—carefully extracted from minerals, plants, and rocks—capturing the essence of Bhutan’s landscapes without the use of artificial chemicals.
Visitors will be immersed in a collection that reflects Penjor’s deep connection to the natural world and his commitment to preserving both cultural and environmental integrity.
Born in Chusa, Kurtoe Gewog, Lhuentse, and currently based in Paro, Penjor Dorji has dedicated his life to organic regenerative farming and traditional arts. Inspired by intricate temple walls and sacred scrolls, his artistic journey led him to explore Nature Dao, where he discovered the profound beauty of extracting pigments from natural sources.
